Misconceptions

By Barbara Beckers

The February dinner theater, Misconceptions, enjoyed a successful run.  The cast of Nancy Love, Berti Burmeister and Doug and Heather Conaway gave life to the delightful comedy about the misconceptions which can be formed when two very different sisters and a charming mother are confronted with a long, lost love.  The show was directed by Barbara Beckers with Arlene Darling acting as Production/Stage manager.  The set was designed by Doug Conaway.  Rick Pence was the lighting director.

Pump Boys and Dinettes

By Barbara Beckers

The pump boys sell high octane on Highway 57 in Grand Ole Opry country and the dinettes, Prudie and Rhetta Cupp, run the Double Cupp Diner next door.  Together they fashion an evening of country-western songs.  The four men play lead guitar, bass, rhythm guitar and piano.  The two women provide percussion using kitchen utensils.

The setting is an intersection on Highway 57 between Frog Level and Smyrna.  Barbara Beckers is the director, Jolie Hile assistant director and Chris Louria is production manager.

Production dates were August 6, 7, 9 and 10, 2008.
