 Christmas Music in April

Yes, it sounds horrible to mention Christmas in April when we are all waiting for spring to finally come to northern Michigan. But the Northland Noteables started rehearsing in April for their Madrigal to Modern songs at Audie’s.

Sunday nights the Theater Center will again be filled with music of the season. Well, no, that’s not right. Music of the coming season, that’s better. It must really confuse the neighbors.

Bob Dickinson is now a veteran of one year with the Noteables and so the group is solid at eight singers with Kris Olson on the piano. Cora and Michele are anxious to work on choreography for the group using the new and improved mirrors in the rehearsal room. Thank you, NP board. It really improves the rehearsal space!

Audie’s has asked us back for a three-night engagement this year. Tickets sold out so quickly last November that they added a third night. This year we are going to start right out with three evenings of dining and music. So mark your calendars now for December 1, 2 & 3, 2008 for the Spirit of Christmas Dinner at Audie’s Restaurant in Mackinaw City. And if you have never been to one of Audie’s seven course Christmas dinners,  make plans to do it this year!
